Every year at the Faculty of Philology educational dialectological practice of second-year students of specialty 014 Secondary education, specialization 014.01 Ukrainian language and literature and specialty 035 Philology, specialization 035.01 Ukrainian language and literature is carried out.
On June 7-8, the groups UMLs/o-21, UMLs/o-22 and UMLf-21 go on the basis of practice: village Tatariv, village Yablunytsia village Chortovets. So today there was an introductory meeting on the organization of dialectological practice. Mykhailo Bigusyak, the head-methodologist of practice of the Faculty of Philology, UMLS/o-21 group, made a welcoming speech. He announced the order, told about the peculiarities of the study of dialects.
The head of the Ukrainian language department, the head-methodologist of the UMLF-21 group, Professor Vasyl Hreshchuk, emphasized the methodical recommendations that the trainees will work on, and emphasized: “What is a village is a word.” The meeting was also attended by the director of our Institute Valentyna Greshchuk, who spoke about the peculiarities of collecting dialects and shared her own experience, as well as recalled her first steps in teaching at Yablunytsia school, where students of UMLs/o-22 will practice.
With great desire and inspiration, students go to the bases of practices to collect dialectological material.
