The last week of production educational and educational pedagogical practice at the Faculty of Philology has begun. Under the leadership of the Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies, Assistant Professor of the Department of General and German Linguistics Greshchuk Valentyna Vasylivna, Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language Greshchuk Vasyl Vasylyovych, students actively undergo practical training on the basis of Lyceum No. 5 of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, gain pedagogical experience, conduct lessons in the Ukrainian language and literature, conduct educational activities.
This is how the students of the Faculty of Philology share their impressions: “I can’t believe that today is already the last week of our production-educational pedagogical practice at Lyceum No. 5 (Ivano-Frankivsk). How many different emotions and impressions we had in the past five weeks – cannot be described in words. But I know for sure: we gained a lot of experience. We learned to communicate with students, find an approach to them, be leaders and authorities, learned to absorb the experience of our mentors like a sponge, and, in the end, learned to be teachers” ( Maria Solomchak, UMLf-31).
On May 9, 2023, a career orientation event was organized for 11th grade students on the basis of the same lyceum, which was attended by Violetta Regey, Inna Rabarska, Anastasia Antoshkiv, Ihor Horodetskyi, and Victoria Riznychuk (UMLF-31). During the event, interns told the students about interesting facts from the history of the Prykarpattia National University, showed a presentation about the Faculty of Philology, in which the rules of admission were outlined in detail, drew attention not only to the advantages of studying, but also told about the creative atmosphere that reigns within the walls of our faculty.
The head of practice Greshchuk Valentina Vasylivna came to the meeting, who clearly and meaningfully outlined all the advantages of studying at our university, in particular at the Faculty of Philology, familiarized the lyceum students with the specifics of the educational process, gave valuable advice and invited everyone for whom language is important to join our philological family . Prospective applicants had the opportunity to hear not only valuable information about the prospects of admission to the Precarpathian National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk, but also familiarize yourself with Valentina Vasylivna’s poetry collection “We will meet where there will be no war…”. The eleventh-graders enthusiastically enjoyed the recitation of the author’s poems, because the poetic texts of the collection illuminate the difficult everyday life through which we are currently passing, the strength of the spirit of our people, and each line is imbued with faith in victory.
We wish our students further success, and we hope that the experience gained during the internship will definitely be useful in their future profession. Lyceum students, in turn, wish them to make the right choice of their future profession and look forward to them in the walls of our Faculty of Philology.
