Promotion within the framework of the All-Ukrainian tour “Embroidery – a talisman for a warrior”

On October 14, Valentyna Greshchuk, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, together with leading specialists of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies and students of the Faculty of Philology of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, joined the action as part of the All-Ukrainian tour “Embroidery – a Charm for a Warrior”.

The action took place in the Ivan Franko Regional Universal Scientific Library, initiated by Inna Ivanyuk – the wife of the fallen Hero, an educator, director of the Ternopil Law Lyceum No. 2. The geography of cities where shirts were embroidered and decorated is quite wide: Bakhmut, Kryvyi Rih, Kyiv, Lutsk, Chernivtsi and other cities of Ukraine. The city of Ivano-Frankivsk is the 20th location to receive a unique collection of embroidered shirts. The collection was supplemented by the twentieth embroidered shirt from Ivano-Frankivsk, which will become a talisman for the warrior Roman Chervak, whose photo is on the cover of Valentyna Greschuk’s poetry collection “We will meet where there will be no war…” and to whom the author dedicated one of her poems. Valentyna Vasylivna spoke about the warrior Roman and all those who defend Ukraine, fight for its independence in a terrible fight against the enemy, and focused on the importance of holding such events in today’s difficult times.

Leading specialists of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies (Kuzhyshyn Oleksandra and Rybchak Solomiya) and students of the Faculty of Philology (Dubik Sofiya, Slobodian Tetyana, Petryshyn Ulyana, Moroz Maria, Dyachuk Vladyslav) recited poetic works from the collection of Valentyna Greschuk “We will meet where there will be no war…”, in which words of boundless gratitude to our defenders sounded.

All those present were able to enjoy the collection of embroidered clothes, which was demonstrated by students of the MiniModels modeling school. Ukrainian culture, along with embroidered clothes, is difficult to imagine without dance, so a successful addition to the event was the Hutsul dance performed by the duet “Meeting” of the folk dance collective “Carpathian Wreath” of the city center for children and youth creativity (director – Taras Gendzyk).

Such events demonstrate care, unity, respect and honor for our defenders and bring the dreamed Victory closer. Embroidered shirts will continue to travel around Ukraine and may they be a reliable talisman for all our soldiers.
