On behalf of all employees of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies, we congratulate you on the great national holiday – Independence Day of Ukraine!
For centuries, Ukraine has been striving for its dream independence. Therefore, the celebration of this date is, first of all, a tribute of honor and gratitude to the generations of Ukrainians who for many centuries sacrificially fought for the freedom and independence of our state, defended the right to be masters of their homeland.
Every year, these three decades of development of our state deepen awareness of this event and its significance for the whole country, for each of us, its citizens. We have shown the world that Ukraine has emerged as a sovereign state capable of upholding democratic values and defending freedom.
The staff of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University also contributes to the development of the native country. During the years of Independence of Ukraine, our University has a glorious history of achievements, accomplishments and victories. During this time we have established ourselves as a national institution of higher education, become one of the powerful scientific and educational centers in Ukraine, consolidated our leading positions among educational institutions in the region, achieved a worthy and widest representation in the world’s leading educational and scientific ranking, sturned the established foreign relations into a strong international partnership, recognized as one of the best classical universities in the country.
The teaching staff of our University is at the forefront of advanced developments, research, the latest technologies and methods. Thousands of our graduates form the intellectual elite not only of Ukraine but also of the world.
Through his daily work, each of us makes significant efforts to strengthen Ukrainian statehood and develop the democratic values of our society.
However, we should always remember that Independence is us, and therefore each of us has a share of responsibility for its preservation.
Of course, today the entire Ukrainian people feel the unbearable pain that their homeland, soldiers and ordinary people have to endure while defending Ukraine’s sovereignty. That is why Independence Day is not only a holiday, but also an occasion to remind us of our duty to future generations to preserve what our ancestors chose.
So, let the Independence Day of Ukraine give you inspiration and creative achievements in the name of prosperity of our independent Motherland.
