On March 30-31, 2023, scientists of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University: Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language Vasyl Vasyliovych Greshchuk, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies, Associate Professor of the Department of General and German Linguistics Greshchuk Valentina Vasylivna, Associate Professor of the Department of General and German Linguistics Vorobets Oleksiy Dmytrovych and candidate of Philological Sciences, assistant professor of the Department of Slavic Languages Shcherbii Natalya Olehivna took part in the International Scientific Conference “Service Parts of Speech in Slavic Languages”, organized by the Slavic Institute and the Czech Language Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The high level of the conference is indicated by the fact that reports of more than fifty scientists from nine countries of the world were presented in it.

Scientists from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University spoke at the plenary session with the report “Metric model of idiostyles of Ukrainian poets based on the material of the lexical-grammatical class of particles”: Professor Nataliya Darchuk and Associate Professor Oksana Zuban; professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Anatoly Zagnitko, presented a report on the topic “Noun-pronominal transforms in categorical grammar: status, semantics and functions”. Scientists from other countries also spoke at the plenary session: Prof. dr. Andreja Žele “Free-morphemeness in Slovene on the Example of Prepositions in Grammar and Dictionary”, Mgr. Barbora Štěpánková, Ph.D. “Místo partički v češtině (pohledem psaných a mluvených korpusů)”, Doc. PhDr. PaeDr. Miloslav Vondráček, Ph.D. “Pomezí adverbií a partikulí z perspektivy lexikografické” and others.

Professor Kateryna Horodenska “Connections as an independent type of service words-morphemes”, professor Iryna Kononenko “Interlingual homonymy of Ukrainian and Polish service parts of speech”, candidate of philological sciences Larisa Kolibaba “Re-actualized service words-morphemes in the Ukrainian literary language of the 21st century”. The reports of the scientists of our university turned out to be interesting and meaningful, namely: “Hutsul dialectal prepositions in the Ukrainian artistic language”, which was prepared by the professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language Greshchuk Vasyl Vasyliovych in co-authorship with the director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies, associate professor Greshchuk Valentina Vasylivna; “Semantics of prepositional components in the composition of Ukrainian and Polish speakers”, which was presented by Oleksiy Dmytrovych Vorobets, associate professor of the Department of General and Germanic Linguistics; “Exclamatory onomatopoeic words as hybrid forms of the verb in Slavic languages”, presented by Natalya Olehivna Shcherbii.

The scientific conference was marked by a high level of organization and conduct, and the reports of scientists caused interesting discussions. We wish success to the teachers of Prykarpattia University in the scientific field.
