On November 14-15, the International Scientific Conference “Current Problems of Syntax: Current Status and Prospects of Research” was held (to the 75th anniversary of the birth of Professor Nina Vasylivna HUYVANYUK), organized by the Department of Modern Ukrainian Language of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. The conference was held in a mixed format: live at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and remotely on the online platform Google Meet.
The following delivered welcoming remarks: Rector of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Ruslan Biloskursky; Director of the Institute of the Ukrainian Language of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Pavlo Hrytsenko; Dean of the Philological Faculty of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Yaroslav Redkva; Head of the Department of Modern Ukrainian Language of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Doctor of Philology, Professor Svitlana Shabat-Savka.
The conference began with a report “Information Potential of the Ukrainian Language: From Locus to Continuum” by Doctor of Philology, Professor, Director of the Institute of the Ukrainian Language of the NAS of Ukraine Pavlo Hrytsenko; the report “Recent Trends in Conjunctive Explication of Semantic-Syntactic Relations in Complex Sentences” was delivered by Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Department of Grammar and Scientific Terminology of the Institute of the Ukrainian Language of the NAS of Ukraine Kateryna Gorodenska. At the plenary session, their report on the topic “Professor N.V. Huyvanyuk as a researcher of Bukovyn dialects” was presented by Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University Greshchuk Vasyl and Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University Greshchuk Valentyna, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language. The plenary session also announced the report “Two-syllable and One-syllable Sentences: Criteria for Demarcation” by Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language Volodymyr Barchuk.
All those present had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with other scientific investigations, in particular: “Tolerance as a Linguistic Pragmatic Parameter of Human Communication: Intentionality and Syntaxation” (Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Department of Modern Ukrainian Language of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University Svitlana Shabat-Savka); “Nina Vasylivna Huyvanyuk as a Researcher of Expressive Syntax” (Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language and Applied Linguistics of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Anatoliy Moysienko) and others.
After the plenary session, the Round Table “Horizontals and Verticals of Professor Nina Huyvanyuk” was held, the meeting of which was held in the Blue Hall of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and on the online platform Google Meet.
