Interesting meetings with entrants

As part of the production and educational pedagogical practice students of the Faculty of philology under the guidance of the director of our Institute Valentyna Greshchuk perform interesting individual tasks, conducting career guidance and educational activities with applicants on the basis of lyceums of Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Thus, Vasylyna Tyminska, a student of the UMLs/o-31 group, held a literary event “Let’s live faithfully for Ukraine” for high school students of the Chornopotokivsk Lyceum, dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of the talented daughter of the Pidhir region – Mariyka Pidhiryanka. Here is how Vasilina shares her impressions:

“I am glad that within the framework of industrial educational pedagogical practice I had the opportunity to honor the memory of our outstanding compatriot with students of 10-11 grades of Chornopotokivsk Lyceum. Mariyka Pidhiryanka is known primarily as a talented children’s writer, but today we are convinced that in her work there are many pure lyrics – light, sad, bitter and tragic. High school students recited poetry, took an active part in the quiz on the writer’s work and prepared interesting and informative reports on her life. In general, lyceum students demonstrated deep knowledge of biography and showed love for the work of the healer of children’s souls.

I also told future entrants about the benefits of studying at the Faculty of Philology, outlined all the prospects and opportunities provided by the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. I am especially grateful to my school teacher of Ukrainian language and literature Lesya Vasylyshyn, who once revealed in me a love for the native language, for helping to organize the event in a remote format. And I also want to thank everyone who joined for the warm and warm atmosphere of the meeting”.

Vasilina’s bachelor classmates Oksana Blyskun and Oleksandra Kuzyshyn had the opportunity to conduct a literary quest “Jubilee Kaleidoscope” among students of grades 9-11 of Yablunsk and Babchensk lyceums. During the event, participants honored famous writers-anniversaries of 2021. Lyceum students demonstrated the brilliant knowledge they had gained earlier in the lessons of Ukrainian literature, took an active part in the quiz “Truth or Myth”, were happy to solve a crossword puzzle, and everyone learned something new.

It is worth noting that the students also conducted career guidance work, where they told lyceum students why it is worth entering the Faculty of Philology, because, according to the philologists themselves, “student life at this faculty is informative, rich, interesting, creative and fun. And our teachers do everything that graduates have all the necessary qualities that are in demand in modern society”.
