Preserving traditions

Vasylyna Tyminska, Oksana Blyskun, Solomiya Solomon and Olga Hryzak, bachelors of the Faculty of Philology, had the opportunity to meet with eleventh-graders of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council Lyceum #7 within the framework of industrial educational pedagogical practice under the guidance of the director of our Institute Valentyna Greshchuk. The students talked about Ukrainian folk traditions associated with Easter – one of the brightest and largest Christian holidays. Lyceum students shared the customs that prevail in their families, and interns told them about the interesting traditions of their lands.

The bachelors conducted career guidance work with high school students and once again stressed that the choice of profession is the choice of the future. Here is how Vasylyna Tyminska shares her impressions of her work: “We hope that we were able to convey to students why it is worth choosing the Faculty of Philology, because student life there can not be called monotonous, and our teachers always do everything to ensure that graduates have all the necessary knowledge. We would like to thank Valentyna Greshchuk for a wonderful idea, which we were able to successfully implement”.

Student Lidia Popych organized a similar work with students of her native Vytvytsia Lyceum, talking about the benefits of studying at the Faculty of Philology and focusing on an important date: the 150th anniversary of the birth of Vasyl Stefanyk. Lyceum students listened with delight to interesting facts from the life and work of the writer and willingly looked at the wall newspaper, which was created by the bachelor herself.

Congratulations to the girls with the next achievements in the teaching field and we wish successful further realization of all creative ideas!
