On September 23-24, the XIV International Scientific Conference “Semantics of Language and Text” took place online. The conference was organized by the Department of General and German Linguistics, the Department of Ukrainian Language of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, as well as the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the University of Warsaw.
The chairman of the organizing committee of the conference, doctor of philology, professor, academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Vitaliy Kononenko addressed all the participants with a welcoming speech. The director of our Institute also took part in the conference, preparing a report together with Professor Vasyl Greshchuk on “Semantic paradoxes of the dialect word”.
Originality and relevance were also noted in the reports of Doctor of Philology, Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine, Professor Anatoliy Zagnitko (“Typology of Linguistic Semantics: New Approaches”), Doctor of Philology, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine, Professor Svitlana Yermolenko (“Reception of word semantics in different texts”), Ph.D. , Professor Tatiana Kosmeda (“Linguo-creative onomastics in Ukrainian and Russian discourses”).
The scientific discussions that arose during the discussion of the reports were interesting. Scholars have identified the main aspects of the conference “Semantics of language and text” for the future.
