We sum up, reveal talents and show results!
The philologists of 4th year of studying used all their creativity and imagination in preparation for the final lesson in the discipline “Stylistics and Culture of the Ukrainian Language”, which was conducted in an interesting way. The task that students had to perform was to present all styles of the Ukrainian language. The bachelors noted that such atypical classes under the guidance of the director of our Institute are a clear example of “not boring” distance learning.
Sitting in front of computers, laptops, students visited a fairy tale and felt the pre-Christmas atmosphere in the news studio on the channel “Interesting Stylistics” and visited the cities of Ukraine for the Christmas holidays, witnessed interesting conversations and more. You could go to the picturesque Carpathian Mountains, where Hutsuls sang songs loudly, and visit the virtual museum “Christmas Symbols”, which tells about the unique symbols of Christmas in Ukraine. The audience had a great time watching the video, and the students who presented it had the opportunity to enjoy the result of their creative work.
The girls showed their acting skills and creative approach to the task, gladly shared magical moments from their rich, interesting and bright life at the Faculty of Philology. Once again, we are convinced that the teaching profession is unique and special, combining masterful acting and the art of word skills, and the ability to write scripts, make presentations, shoot and edit videos. Thanks to the philologists for the coordinated and painstaking work!
Under the guidance of the director of our Institute, students of the 3rd year of studying had the opportunity to express themselves creatively in the course “Cognitive aspects of word formation” by presenting texts of different styles with their own word formations. New Year’s themes, which mostly appeared in the works, caused a festive mood in everyone, created an atmosphere of comfort and warmth. Bachelors have once again demonstrated that it is very important to creatively combine theory with practice in the learning process (offline and online). During the semester, everyone worked actively and willingly, so they were able to prove themselves pedagogically, creatively, professionally, aptly, methodically. In the end, occasionally!
Here is how Iryna Antonyak shares her impressions:
When my classmates and I first heard the name “Cognitive Aspects of Word Formation”, we were ready for extremely difficult scientific theories, incomprehensible definitions and hundreds of typical tasks. And today, summarizing what we learned in the last lesson, we realized that not a minute for the whole semester was bored. Even in the control task we were able to show their creativity, share author’s texts and occasional formations”.
Oksana Blyskun gained another good experience by publishing her research in the newspaper “Educational word”. In the article “Modern fashion trends in language” the bachelor outlined the main fashion phenomena in language, in particular: inappropriate use of complex words with the first part of the super-, euro-; the use of slang, slang expressions, foreign words, which, of course, do not adorn our language. The idea of fashion in language originated in classes on “Stylistics and Culture of Language” (teacher: Candidate of Philological Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Valentyna Greshchuk). We hope that there will be more than one scientific work on the way of future philology.
