The project “Preparing for practice” has started at the Faculty of Philology

At the Faculty of Philology, the project “Preparing for practice” is traditionally held in the pre-test period under the leadership of the director of our Institute. Every year it is attended by future trainees who demonstrate their skills and abilities acquired during the study of the course “Methods of teaching the Ukrainian language.” This project is the first link in the pedagogical practice of bachelors, which is not far off.

During the semester, students diligently prepared for each pair, wrote lesson plans, mastered forms and methods of teaching Ukrainian in middle classes, made presentations, various school activities. Therefore, the project became a kind of result of all their work. Philologists have demonstrated that they can creatively and professionally perform any type of work, as well as proved that they are true connoisseurs of the Ukrainian language.

Oksana Shamliy shares her impressions:

“Today we managed to combine the pre-holiday mood with the Ukrainian language and traditions of our people. Thanks to the project “Preparing for practice” our group held an event in the form of a competition. The students split into two teams in advance and came up with their name and slogan. Our lesson turned out to be really interesting and informative, and although we were not able to hold it in our native audience, the remote realities did not prevent us from expressing ourselves. In memory of our first large-scale event, I decided to prepare for our clever and smart “8th graders” diplomas, for which, I hope, there will be a place somewhere in a folder or album with memories of student years. We are sure that thanks to the skills we have acquired during the course “Methods of teaching the Ukrainian language”, we will only enjoy the practice at school and easily cope with all the difficulties!”

Anastasia Kruk expresses her views:

“Today our group had the opportunity to open the project “Preparing for practice.” We are sincerely grateful to our methodologist Valentyna Greshchuk, who instilled love for the native language, Ukrainian culture and helped to love even more with her advice, accurate remarks and comments. What we do and will do in the future I am sure that, using all the knowledge gained in pairs on the methods of teaching the Ukrainian language, following all the recommendations, we will pass with dignity and confidence school practice and gain invaluable experience. entitled “Methods of teaching the Ukrainian language”!

Her opinion is shared by Solomiya Dzerdzh: “Our group had the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in the project” Preparing for practice “. Everyone took an active part in the lesson. Thanks to Irina Antonyak, who took took on the responsibility of being a moderator, successfully selected the material and showed a high pedagogical level”.

Masters of the Faculty of Philology, who already teach in various types of secondary education, also joined today’s event. They shared their pedagogical experience, gave accurate instructions and advice. The bachelors were once again convinced that working at school is extremely difficult, but also exciting and interesting.

Master Eugenia Paliychuk is overwhelmed with emotions:

“This year I was lucky to be an invited guest for the final couple in the group UMLso-31. The girls have prepared wonderful extracurricular activities  – “Word for word – the language will form!”,”Language experts”, due to which they demonstrated their acquired methodological skills, practiced their pedagogical skills.

We tried to build a bridge to share experiences between masters and bachelors. The masters told about their path in practice at school, about their first steps in the teaching field and expressed words of support to future teachers. The couple was light, full of warmth and inspired atmosphere. Appropriate advice and guidance gained during the course, everyone has collected in their own treasury, which will go to practice. I am sure that everyone will succeed and the practice will bear abundant fruit. Good luck to you!”

The current project “Preparing for practice” is an invaluable experience that will help philologists in the future practice. We thank the moderators and all participants of the project for their creative approach to the important, as well as the guests of the event who took the time to share their experiences and inspire bachelors to further work!
