We continue to carry out career guidance work on the basis of Ivano-Frankivsk lyceums.
On November 18, master’s students Stefania Banyas and Olga Shtogryn, under the leadership of the director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies, assistant professor of the Department of General and German Linguistics Greshchuk Valentina Vasylivna, held a career orientation event, timed to the International Student Day, on the topic “Education is a treasure; work is the key to it “. The action took place on the basis of Lyceum No. 25 in the 9th grade. Describing the advantages of studying at the Faculty of Philology, the girls focused students’ attention not only on the prestige of the profession that can be acquired within the walls of the Faculty of Philology, but also on interesting student leisure (literary evenings, quests, debates, various competitions) and providing the educational program with everything necessary (site remote, library repository, center of innovative technologies).
In addition, lyceum students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of Valentina Vasylivna, who presented a collection of poems “We will meet where there is no war”, in which love for the Motherland is combined with faith in Ukrainian soldiers and hope for a quick victory. During the activity, the students showed creativity and thorough linguistic knowledge, forming an associative cluster and solving a thematic crossword puzzle.
We hope that this meeting will help lyceum students to choose their professional path, which will be related to their native language.
