Students of the 3rd year of the correspondence course of the Faculty of Philology were actively practicing under the guidance of the director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies, assistant professor of the Department of General and German Linguistics Greshchuk Valentyna Vasylivna and professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language Greshchuk Vasyl Vasyliovych.
Among the tasks faced by the students during the internship was to help the students understand what the teaching profession is and what prospects there are for future teachers. To do this, interns conducted a series of professional orientation events for students of grades 9-11 at the bases of local educational institutions, in particular, Kolomyysky lyceum #9, Pistynskyi, Rosilnyanskyi, Chernyatynskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk lyceum #19, Bytkivskyi, Otyniyskyi, Bolekhivskyi lyceums, as well as Negivskyi, Zhukivska, Palagytska gymnasiums, etc.
During career orientation meetings, students talked about the importance of having certain qualities for a teacher, such as knowledge and skills, communication skills, interest, stress resistance, and emotional intelligence. Students-interns shared their experience of studying at the Faculty of Philology and talked about their own motivation in choosing this particular university, because the Carpathian National University named after Vasyl Stefanyka University is one of the best classical universities of Ukraine and ranks first in the ranking of higher education institutions in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The students are sincerely grateful to their teachers Valentyna Vasylivna Greshchuk and Vasyl Vasylovich Greshchuk for their clear instructions, advice and support, and express their hope that the career guidance activities conducted during the educational and pedagogical practice will help students find their place in life and guide them in choosing their future profession.
