The eighth day of the ruthless war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine! Every day the aggressor inflicts devastating and brutal blows on our country. It destroys kindergartens and schools, schools and universities, roads, factories, and most importantly – destroys our people. Every day, Russia’s enemy openly and repeatedly fires missiles, bombs, and artillery at peaceful cities and civilian targets.
To date, more than 160 educational institutions have been completely or partially destroyed. This is stated in the message on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Hundreds of innocent people died at the hands of the enemy during the war! These are irreparable losses, the blood of which will always be in the hands of the aggressor.
I want to appeal to fellow educators! In the most difficult time for the country, you have shown incredible patriotism, unity and strength.
In each region, places for displaced persons have been organized in educational institutions, fighters are provided with food, strong humanitarian headquarters have been set up in some oblasts, and the necessary assistance is provided. You are the pride of the Ukrainian people.
Ukrainian children and teachers are now forced to hide in shelters from the hourly rocket attacks and suffer terrible psychological trauma. That is why together with partners and institutions of higher education prepared a series of information materials from Svitlana Roiz for psychological support of children, as well as organized daily online meetings at @eduhub.in.ua with certified psychologists of the Association of Innovative and Digital Education.
The Support the Child Telegram Channel operates to support children in difficult times with light exercises that can be performed while in storage or at home. Viber-community “School_info” in a state of war launched an educational initiative. They publish tasks for students in grades 1-4, because forced “vacations” should not interfere with the development and acquisition of education.
Optima Distance School has opened free access to the learning platform for all children who have the Internet. The mathematical online platform CIOS has opened free access for teachers and students until March 31.
Telegram channel “Pavlusha and Java” publishes audio tales for families with children who are in bomb shelters. The Facebook page of the Coordination Center for Accommodation of Victims of Russian Aggression in Ukraine is open. The voice of our state is our children who grew up to be true patriots of Ukraine during the week of the war.
