On April 25, 2024, at Lyceum No. 5 of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, the winners of the XVII International Competition in Ukrainian Studies for students of grades 8-11 of general secondary education institutions were awarded. The ceremony was attended by the director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies, candidate of philological sciences, assistant professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language Greshchuk Valentina Vasylivna, who, together with the director of the Department of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Ivano-Frankivsk State Administration Viktor Yevstakhiovych Kimakovych and the deputy director of the Department of Education, Science and Youth of politics of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, the head of the Havrylyuk department, Ihor Olegovych, awarded the winners with diplomas and valuable books. All contestants received the book “Ukrainian Studies: Documents, Materials, Rarities” published by the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies at Vasyl Stefanyk Prykarpattia National University from the head of the jury Valentyna Vasylivna. Representatives of the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State noted the extraordinary importance of the work performed by the competition participants and thanked both the students and their academic supervisors for participating in the competition, and Valentina Vasylivna kindly invited the students of general secondary education to continue their studies at the Carpathian National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk, in particular at the Faculty of Philology.
