Great Taras, we are fighting now,
you gave us weapons – your glorious Kobzar,
your word is flying all over Ukraine
and aims at the enemy, deals a blow.
We fight, Taras, we owe it to fate,
that there are brave sons in Ukraine,
then our Heroes are young and gray-haired,
they give their lives for freedom.
Great Prophet, almighty Taras,
harbinger of the will, you arm us,
you instill in us faith in the peaceful and beautiful,
you are brave and wise, immortal Taras!
