At the Faculty of Philology of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, the defense of theses for the second (master’s) level of higher education took place. Under the guidance of the Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language Greshchuk Valentyna Vasylivna, the following successfully defended their master’s theses: Tetyana Skrypnyk, master’s student of the Uzf-22m group (diploma thesis on the topic “Language of Poetic Texts of Vlasta Vlasenko”), Vitalia Marynets, master’s student of the Uzf-22m group (diploma thesis on the topic “Lexical dialecticisms in Hutsul proverbs, proverbs, curses and kolomyykas (based on the material of Roman Kiselyuk’s books “Language has no weakness”, “Povni besagy widrosty”)”) and Popovych Vitaly, master’s student of the Uzf-21m group (diploma thesis on the topic “Microtoponymy of the villages Zamulintsi and Mateivtsi of the Kolomiy district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region”).
Diploma theses were also defended by leading specialists of the educational and scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies: Oleksandra Yaroslavivna Kuzyshyn, master’s student of the UMLf-21m group (qualification thesis on the topic “Ukrainian polemical literature: trends of development and poetics”, scientific supervisor – doctor of philological sciences, professor of the department of Ukrainian literature Pihmanets Roman Volodymyrovych) and Rybchak Solomiya Vitalyivna, master’s student of the UMLso-21m group (qualification thesis on the topic “Names to denote persons in the novel “Tango of Death” by Yu. Vinnychuk and their use as illustrative material in Ukrainian language lessons”, supervisor – candidate of philological sciences, assistant professor of the Department of Ukrainian language Pitel Vira Myroslavivna). The head of the State Examination Commission, Professor Khorob Stepan Ivanovych and members of the commission: Professor Greshchuk Vasyl Vasyliovych and Professor Soletsky Oleksandr Markiyanovych noted the high level of professional training of master’s students. According to the decision of the examination commission, Oleksandra Kuzyshyn, a leading specialist of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies, was recommended for admission to postgraduate studies.
